Kevin Cox

Kevin Cox, founder and CEO of Hope Crisis Response Network (HCRN), has an extensive background in disasters. Kevin was a two-term President of the Indiana Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (INVOAD), and served on the National Board of Long-Term Recovery with the National VOAD.

As a subject matter expert in Preparedness, Response & Recovery, Kevin is well known for training Long-Term Recovery Committees across the country, assisting in creating over 150 successful LTRs, as well as teaching Volunteer Management, Donations Management, and Community and Faith-Based Response.

HCRN was founded as a 501(c)(3) Indiana nonprofit corporation in 1999 and has responded to disasters all over the US.

Known for his innovations, Kevin created the first mobile disaster base camp in America, which has since been cited as a model program by FEMA. That base camp was a driving force in Mississippi, partnering with over 100 churches and universities, completing over 1,400 projects and serving 4,700 volunteers.

For 8 years Kevin served as an advisor to the Governor's Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives. He has also been a guest speaker nationally for the White House OFBCI, sharing with the faith-based community on successful collaborations in disaster response.

Kevin has served on many boards, enjoys family time, and is a sports enthusiast—especially hockey.
