Volunteer teams continue to travel to Paradise to help wildfire survivors recover from the Camp Fire 2018.  Hope Crisis Response Network currently has ten homes under construction.  We’ve completed 8 homes and our list of homes to build continues to grow.  We are so thankful for the support of the North Valley Community Foundation as we continue this work of bringing volunteers into Paradise who help rebuild homes, serve in local distribution centers and in general support the recovery work for the community.

HCRN has received a new grant from the Community Foundation that will provide salary support for our staff as they recruit, coordinate and manage the volunteer teams who are rebuilding homes.

“Hope Crisis Response Network has become a vital part of the rebuilding effort,” said Chris Copeland, an NVCF program officer specializing in housing. “Their networking to bring in volunteers from all over North America is impressive. NVCF and our Butte Strong Fund committee feel this is a perfect use of donated money, to help people who otherwise would not be able to afford to rebuild.”

Check out the NVCF newsletter for more info on this grant and all the other work they are doing to get fire survivors home!

The $350,000 grant will support our continuing work in Butte County serving vulnerable families.  Thank you, North Valley Community Foundation!
