In October 2017, the Tubbs Fire became the most destructive wildfire, at the time, in California State history. With over 5,000 homes destroyed in Santa Rosa, many in the community were unsure of what would happen.

In June 2018, HCRN brought the Inspiring Hope Shed Build to Santa Rosa. Over 1,000 volunteers showed up and helped build 100 sheds in the span of a day. These sheds were then loaded up on a large flat bed trailer and delivered to Tubbs Fire survivors. Even today, while driving through Santa Rosa you can see these sheds at people’s rebuilt homes.

Lodestone Stuff took drone footage of the event which you can watch here:

This event wasn’t possible without a community ready to help their neighbors, and it is a reminder how much we need each other to get through the difficult parts of life.

Here’s another video from our friend Eli Contreras:

Six years later, and we still can’t believe what these volunteers were able to accomplish. Thank you all so much, and we hope you have continued to serve your community!
