HCRN is participating in a Local Assistance Center for Boyles Fire survivors.
On September 8, 2024 a fire broke out in Clearlake, CA and quickly grew to over 70 acres. It destroyed or damaged at least 30 homes and forced 4,000 residents to evacuate for multiple days.
HCRN will be managing intake for affected residents as they receive resources and assistance for their immediate needs.
Lake County will be holding this Local Assistance Center from 10am-7pm Monday September 16 to Wednesday September 18th at the Clearlake Youth Center 4750 Golf Ave. Clearlake, CA 95422.
Participating nonprofits include: Adventist Health Clearlake, American Red Cross, California Southern Baptist Disaster Response, Church of the Brethren, Episcopal Disaster Response, Global Empowerment Mission, Lake County Community Foundation, Legal Services Northern CA, North Coast Opportunities, The Salvation Army, Tzu Chi, United Disaster Relief, United Policy Holders, UMCOR, Lake Area Rotary Clubs Association, and RCS Mental Health.
Government and state agencies will also be available including: IHSS, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWORKS, CalOES, DMV, Lake County Assessor/Recorder, Lake County Environmental Health, Public Services and EDD.
