Your donations and support allow HCRN to provide for those affected by disaster. This weekend, we have continued our work of providing direct assistance to evacuees across Northern California. On September 26, our staff made the drive from Paradise to Grizzly Flats to distribute goods to fire survivors affected by the Caldor Fire. These donations were made possible by our partnership with Adventist Health and World Vision. Thank you so much for allowing us to positively impact survivors of disaster.

The Caldor Fire was started on August 14 and has continued to burn and threaten many small mountain communities. This blaze even caused the town of South Lake Tahoe to fully evacuate, as fire crews were unsure if they’d be able to halt the fire’s path toward one of California’s most beautiful natural environments. Currently the Caldor Fire has burned over 220,000 acres, or just over 340 square miles.
