HCRN is excited to announce that our very first home rebuild project is under construction in Paradise, CA!

The Camp Fire raged through Butte County in 2018. In it’s wake, a large population of elderly and retired residents were left without housing or a clear path forward. The scale of destruction was unprecedented.

HCRN has been on the ground since the Camp Fire, and our staff have worked tirelessly to fill the needs of the community. Thank you so much to our volunteers and donors who were able to secure safe drinking water, food, clothing, and even a shower trailer to meet the needs of a community in desperate need of assistance. Your dedication to this project has made a difference in the day to day lives of so many in Butte County.

While the Camp Fire was almost two and a half years ago, only about 5% of homes have either begun construction, or even pulled permits to begin building.

There will always be challenges to rebuilding after disaster, but we rejoice in every victory along the way!

The very first HCRN home being rebuilt with volunteer labor is just a few weeks away from seeing our very first construction volunteer team framing and roofing this property.

That wouldn’t be happening without the dedication of donors, volunteers and partners. Thank you all so much!
