HCRN Volunteers Cleanup Storm Debris

June 6, 2005 Elkhart, Indiana
Strong winds in Michigan/Indiana areas uprooted trees, broke branches and damaged properties. Many homes sustained some sort of damage. One Elkhart resident was killed as an overhanging tree limb collapsed on his home and crushed him while he was inside watching television. Another man, Gary Conway, was killed when trying to move his truck. The roof from his barn was ripped off by the storm and crushed Gary when it fell on him.

HCRN has local cleanup crews cut limbs and move debris.(Above photo is of HCRN's Kevin Cox cutting up limbs and removing debris from area homes)

HCRN Volunteers Repair Roof

May 8, 2005 Indianapolis, Indiana
This past weekend provided pleasant conditions for the HCRN volunteer crew that was repairing a roof in Indianapolis. The roof had sustained damage from previous storms and was in great need of repair.

Thank you to all who turned out and helped this great family in need.
