Hoosier Disaster Relief Fund

HCRN is proud to announce The Hoosier Disaster Relief Fund (HDRF), Indiana’s only statewide program for collecting disaster relief donations recognized by the State of Indiana, FEMA, and INVOAD (Indiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters).

Here’s how you can do your part to help families in a time of great need:

  1. Stop at any Indiana branch of National City Bank or Old National Bank.
  2. Say to the teller, "I want to make a donation to the Hoosier Disaster Relief Fund."
  3. Make your tax-deductible donation.
  4. The bank will notify us of your donation, and we will send you a tax-deductible receipt.
If you prefer donating by mail, send your contribution to:
      HCRN
      P.O. Box 2123
      Elkhart, IN 46515

Please make your check payable to the "Hoosier Disaster Relief Fund”

Who does my donation support? The HDRF is set up to assist qualified individuals and that have suffered a man-made or natural disaster, with a focus on the elderly, widowed, disabled, single-parent families, and those who are have no resources available to them such as insurance and/or other major benefits. HDRF provides the funds to the local, state, and national volunteer organizations that provide direct assistance to the individual, family, or disaster community. The disaster must be declared by the Governor.

How is my donation dispersed? HCRN is overseen by a Board of Directors. This Board will process all requests and will see that funds be appropriated and managed within its guidelines.
