Hope Crisis Response Network - HCRN is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization located in Northern Indiana. The mission of HCRN during times of disaster is to: 1) coordinate and deploy volunteers, resources, and financial assistance to the affected areas; 2) serve as advocates to help victims obtain assistance from appropriate agencies and organizations; and 3) assist in devising and implementing post-disaster long term recovery plans for local communities.
Volunteers are the most valuable and vital resource for any recovery. It is not only our responsibility to provide well-trained volunteers but to equip them with the tools they need to do the job. The secret to having motivated volunteers is to be well prepared and take good care of them. We work within the community to make sure that each of our projects is well planned and managed in a safe and friendly working environment.
When a disaster is declared, HCRN is called upon to provide assistance in all four stages of a disaster:
What makes HCRN unique and effective is that we understand the importance of a well coordinated relief effort. We work together with other relief organizations and strongly believe in the participation of church and local community.
*HCRN does not discriminate as to race, creed, religious beliefs or income status. All services are provided free of charge.
